BigHit Entertainment CEO Bang Si Hyuk was asked during an interview with Variety if there was a time where he felt certain and confident enough that BTS would be successful.
In his response to the question, he named two of the group’s songs that made him feel that way (that BTS would become successful).
The first one was back in 2015 where BTS released “Run” from the album “The Most Beautiful Moment In Life, Pt. 2.”, and that was the first song that the CEO himself have noticed that the group’s music was finally being recognised by the general public and have received many positive views about it.
The following year after that release, in 2016 was when their release of the song “fire” have foreshadowed their success, and that’s when they to create it to test to see how well BTS’s music was received and recognised. As a result, it became the one that has ultimately gained attention internationally.
Then this allowed Bang Si Hyuk himself to think bigger about how much success BTS has achieved, including the thought of them having a chance to hold a global arena tour.
Until now, the group has reached the achievements that some artists haven’t even dreamed of. Therefore, the 2 songs that Bang Si Hyuk has thought about gave him the idea of what BTS would become, and what he has predicted.
Bang Si Hyuk in my opinion is one of the best CEOs in the kpop industry!!
P.S. I’m sure there might be some great CEOs out there as well. But as I know of, Bang Si Hyuk is one of them
