I won’t lie and say I never liked D4x and KTL, but I did go off them eventually. I also never liked HYLT, LSG and PV. So I’ve basically been waiting to like a Blackpink song since 2020. Finally, Shut Down delivered. I don’t LOVE it, but it’s something I think will grow on me and I definitely didn’t dislike it! I also really loved Typa Girl. My friend said it reminded her of Money and I totally agree with her (and I did like Money so). I do find it slightly worrying they referenced all their past mvs as that’s something I associate with disbandment… but I think ignoring that part the mv is cool too
I just listened to whole album and the bsides really slap!
The Happiest Girl makes me feel like my heart is being wretched out.
Tally's hook is really addictive "I say fuck it when i feel it"
Typa Girl's prechorus is angelic and beautiful. It kinda reminds me a slower and more ethereal version of pretty savage.
I love the retro 90s and early 2000s vibe of Yeah Yeah Yeah. It also has a really good prechorus.
Rosie gets a solo with Hard To Love which is lowkey better than her actual solo songs.
omg am i the only one who loves it?
the references in the mv killed me, the "bp in ur area~ too"
its a little short but yeh we dont care
i'm listening to the album
I love the album and Shut down is about a new set of wave of the girls is bringing us and leaving the past in the past and bringing something new. I love Happiest girl bc it reminds me of my sister.
