BTS's Kim Taehyung shares opinion on fanfiction that ARMY'S are insane over

Recently, on via social media there has been a thing going on that has been heating up the korean/k-pop community

RPS, (Real Person Slash) which includes a fanfiction using 2 real idols of the same sex and sexualizing them by making the fanfictions highly sexual in detail or sometimes even, the use of rape. Real idols have been warning fans and telling them that this is a social problem and should be stopped. On weverse a fan had posted something saying similar to, "jungkook's photo, which taehyung loves" taehyung immediatly responds with "get out of your imagination please" which indicates that he found out that fans have made sexual fanfictions between him and jungkook. This has also ocurred with real female idols. This is serious and should be stopped and i really feel bad for all the idols going through this. And to be part of the fandom of ARMY i feel upset. I know, it's really fusturating to see this happening and not being able to do anything. RPS isn't something people should be creatimg for content to show viewers. And also disrespectful to all kpop members hurt in this way.

I have friends, enjoy reading them and when you call them out they somehow are mad at you, tho not all of them are like that. We should show respect to our idols if we really love them and give them there own privacy.

Seriously what's wrong with all these people for being so disrespectful? Just because they are idols and stand in front of the public eye, it doesn't mean that they deserved to be treated like this. RPS is one thing, the sickening incident that happened to Momoland's Nancy was also distressing for me to watch even though I'm not a fan of Momoland. (FYI, Momoland's Nancy was secretly filmed when she was changing and the culprit disseminated photos of her online) People should really stop sexualising idols and treating them as though they are commodities. In the end, they are still ordinary people like us.

I used to write stuff like this - don't kill me (it wasn't with BTS btw) - but since my mum confronted me and I saw a councillor, I've realised how sh*t it was of me to write that stuff. So, when I write fanfictions now, even if its same sex, it's as subtle as can be.

Right i write ff's (some with k-pop idols some not) but i won't even do anything or write what they would write. almost all my ff's are not sexual. they disrespecting k-pop idols they are human also.

I have only ever written one BTS fanfic that was sexual...but it wasn't a same sex FF where two of the members were engaging in sexual acts with one another, it was a collaberation with a friend of mine and we both chose one member of BTS to be our original character's(females), love interest. I always feel uncomfortable reading k-pop smut...especially when the idols are young(like txt smut that is all over tumblr)

That is quite bold to comment something like that on Weverse where the idols themselves can actually see and read.
I have seen so many fanfics that bothered me..Some of them sometimes doing fanfics based on LOOKS , but never actually bothered to know how the idols themselves usually acts.

If you wanna do fanfics.. at least love the idols, get to know them in and out before writing about them.
Believe it or not, there are people out there believing the persona of an idol based on those fanfics..sadly

I feel like it's one thing to read or write RPS and keeping them on fanfiction websites that idols will most likely never know about, but it's a completely other thing to write that kind of stuff on a place such as Twitter or Weverse where the idols have a high chance of seeing it. I wanna be as respectful to the idols as possible so the fact that there are people who are making fanfictions aware to the idols are a little bit sick in a way. That stuff is just supposed to be for the fans' entertainment and by no means land on the eyes of the idols themselves.

i really dont mind...regular fanfiction like with no sexually added but if it goes this far i think we should stop reading them and respect our idols even though we full on love them.
