After being caught drunk driving several weeks ago, IST Entertainment has announced that Chan will be leaving VICTON.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the fans who love VICTON. We would like to inform you of the following member change.
After careful consideration and discussion with all of the VICTON members, including Heo Chan, it has been decided that Heo Chan will leave the team. This decision was made taking into account his and the team’s opinions that he did not want to cause more trouble to the group.
Once again, we apologize for causing concern to the fans with the sudden news, and we ask for your understanding.
Accordingly, VICTON will reorganize into a six member team, and starting with the 2022 VICTON FANCONCERT [CHRONICLE] scheduled for October 15 and 16 and continuing on for their future schedules, they will promote as five members as Han Seungwoo is serving his military service.
The VICTON members are working hard to prepare for the 2022 VICTON FANCONCERT [CHRONICLE] that the fans have been waiting for. We ask for your continued interest and support for the VICTON members who are preparing hard so that their efforts are not in vain.

It's nice to see a company making an actually good decision regarding this type of situation. I feel it is always swept under the rug. Drunk driving isn't just a mistake, it's deadly for the driver and everyone around them.
