So there isn't a lot of contemporary dance in kpop, so as a contemporary dancer I love to see them, and thought I would share my favorites with y'all.
I'm also super bored and have nothing to do so yeah!
I'm only gonna do a couple for now and then update the thread later.

Don't Wanna Cry-Seventeen
Parts of this dance that really stick out to me is Woozi's solo part in the beginning, The8's butterfly leap, and the ground section with Jeonghan in front.

Spring Day-BTS
I love that BTS got to do a contemporary dance like this and let Jimin's real dance talents shine, he really was fantastic in this dance. If you ever question the difference between a trained dancer and an idol dancer watch this practice. I love the bridge part where they go to the ground and a couple of slides at the end of their movements.

Lilili Yabbay-Seventeen Performance Unit
This is more modern than contemporary but I'm still including it. I love the conectedness between the members, the lunges, and a lot of the arm movements. The beginning position is also beautiful and the floor part during the chorus as well are amazing.

Thanks-Seventeen
Damn this dance it just it. The arm work is so beautiful and very much so mimics that of ballet in the very beginning of the chorus. Also the utilization of 4th position seated, the drops to the floor. This dance is just so beautiful I wish I could choreograph like that.

Black Swan-BTS
Once again this is more modern than contemporary but still great. This dance ustilizes a lot of second place plie positions which you should give the boys props for because that's difficult to maintain. They also did, I can't remember the specific name so I'm gonna call it, some grande rond de jambes which were really beautiful. Also some nice attitude turns and tendus.

The Eve-EXO
When I first saw this dance I nearly crapped my pants, not just cause of the sexiness, but by the amount of ballet in it. The head roll while in b plus, all the plies, Xiumin's part right after the first chorus, there were some soutenu turns , and the floor work where they transitioned through their knees!

Dream in a Dream-Ten
This dance is absolutely beautiful, especially the arm work, it was all so fluid, like he was moving through water. I liked how he utilized a lot of ballet feet positions, especially 4th and 5th position. Some ballet highlights I noticed are the windmill movement while he was in a lunge, and the tendus and pas de bourrees section. What makes this dance so graceful is how Ten never seems to completely put his full foot on the floor, he is always in some form of releve, which makes his movements much more connected and smooth.

Lovely-Winwin and Ten
This is another kpop dance where you can really see the difference in somebody trained in classical dance and one trained in idol dancing. While both of them are incredible, Winwin's classic training made him really impressive. Something amazing that Winwin always does is he never lets his movements end, they just continue to extend until the next movement. This is really difficult to do and requires a lot of body strength to do. The partnering in this is beautiful and very natural looking. Some ballet highlights I noticed: Winwin's pirouette with his leg in a back degage position, the various transitions in posse, the tour en l'air, and the saute with arms flung back. This dance is probably the kpop dance that comes closest to a legit contemporary dance cause you can really see the foundation ballet movements and positions.

Hellevator-Stray Kids

This is a great kpop dance that incorporates many contemporary aspects. I especially love the beginning floor part when Changbin starts rapping and the bridge section where they rock back and forth on their heels. Ballet highlights: the rond de jambe en l'air, the reverse rond de jambe(this isn't the technical name I just can't remember it's been a while), the sorta chaines turns after Bang Chan's and Felix's duo part, and the sort of sissonnes.

Home-Seventeen

This dance is filled with ballet movements I love it! They all start in fifth position, the pas de bourrees in the transitions, the pas de chat turns(axel turns), the passe I guess switches, and the use of b plus positioning. And like every Seventeen dance Home is a masterpiece.

The formations and group partnering in this dance is so beautiful, especially the kinda windmill arm motion when they are in a line. Their movements and the floor work is very graceful and connected as well. Ballet highlights: The pivots and mini tourjette when they are in the two parallel diagonal lines are beautiful, the rond de jambes in the bridge, in the second bridge the slow pull up of the leg from the ground to posse 👌 , the tiny pas de chat in the 2nd bridge when they group in the center, and the soutenu from the group in the last chorus. This dance really reminds me of Hellevator but a little softer and more lyrical.

Levanter-Stray Kids
Damn this dance, just within 5 seconds I was hooked. The intro with Lee Know and Felix coming off the ground as if they levitated, the partner work in the bridge with the falsetto, I applaud this dance in general also because of how different it is from every other kpop dance, for example I've seen very few choruses where the vocalist is on the ground. Ballet highlights: Seungmin's chorus part on the ground utilized a lot of kneeling positions that you will see in ballet, specifically whenever male ballet dancers land big jumps. Also, I'm not sure if it was purposeful but Seungmin kinda assembled into position for the second bridge. There was also a lot of extended arms while in tendue which were beautiful, Hyunjin does this beautiful attitude turn to the ground during the second chorus, even I.N's arm during his part before Felix's killing part was held in a very ballet manner, and there was tons of other stuff but this would get too long.
