Disclaimer: this is not meant to spread hate for itzy, itzy is actually one of my ult groups
1. ITZY is not a good vocal group
Lia is honestly the only competent vocalist, but JYP ruins her voice by constantly forcing her to sing in a higher register which makes her strain. Chaeryeong, surprisingly comes a close second with Yeji tied. I used to have great opinions on their vocals, but after hearing the live Mr removed vocals of the two it's safe to say they are probably below average for lead vocals, which is technically good for Chaeryeong since she's only a sub vocalist. Yeji strains quite a bit, and Chaeryeong while being able not to strain too much in higher registers has a tendency to shout instead of sing. Yuna had me fooled thinking she improved a lot, but her voice is so soft and nasally that I could barely hear it. Ryujin sounds out of tune most of the time and breathy. They need to train harder if they want to improve in their vocals.
2. They are losing popularity
Ever since Sneakers was released, MIDZYs had been leaving the fandom in waves, and the ones left already said they wanted a good comeback. After Sneakers, ITZY released two Korean albums which were also not received well, but their Japanese album was liked by the majority of the knetizens, which started rumours that JYP was ruining ITZY's popularity. For them to have good Japanese albums but not good Korean albums was "disturbing" (I don't really see the problem but). Then, born to be was released from ITZY, and nearly everyone announced that ITZY was reborn. They have gained some fans back, but with all the 4th/5th gen debuts I'm worried that ITZY's popularity will slowly diminish.
3. ITZY is not a priority for JYP
JYP debuting ITZY was great, but they were always second-best from twice. Now that the 5th gen is starting, JYP will probably debut more groups to try get more fame, which will make ITZY's promotions, albums ect lower budgeted. NMIXX also is taking ITZY priority wise.
