Being Jewish I celebrate Hanukkah, not Christmas.
There are not many Jewish people where I live, neither are there really any in Korea, or among the kpop fandom.
I don't think I've actually ever met a Jewish kpop fan.
If you are hmu!!
Because I am in the minority when it comes to December; I tend to spend the whole month being left out.
Sure it's not as bad as when I was a kid, but it still can hurt.
So I decided to try and find some holiday kpop songs that don't reference Christmas. It's just a Decembery/Holiday spirit kinda song.
It was difficult, as most people do celebrate Christmas, including Koreans. But I was able to find a couple that made me feel more included during this holiday season.
I hope that anyone who is reading this, that doesn't celebrate Christmas, gains some happiness knowing they aren't being left out again!
The Best Thing I Ever Did-TWICE
Initially I thought this was a Christmas song, but there is no mention of it in the lyrics..so yay!
Yes it does have a Christmassy vibe, but it's as close as I will get with most holiday kpop songs.
Anyways, Mina sounds like an angel in this song, and I live for it.
Miracles in December-EXO
I love this song with all my heart.
Chen, D.O, Baekhyun, and Luhan really just takes me there with his vocals (especially Chen)!
This might just be the best holiday kpop song ever released.
Unfair-EXO
Not really about the holidays, but it came out on one of their winter albums!
Plus during one of the stages they dressed up as Santa so....
Anyways this song and the performance are so damn cute!
Sing For You-EXO
I'm starting to think there's a Jew on EXO's production team lol
Another song that doesn't directly reference the holidays, but it came out on one of their winter albums.
It also talks about presents and thankfulness, so close enough!
Winter Story-Laboum
I'm not really a fan of Laboum, but I am of this song.
It's so uplifting, unlike the EXO songs above.
Heart Attack-Chuu
You may not consider this a holiday song, but it is to me!
Chuu is dancing in the snow and it's winter. So it counts!
I also love this song, so I'm glad I can include it!
Anyways Happy Chrismahanukwanzakah!!
