Once upon a time,
there lived a fair young lad,
beloved by his small village. However, he harbored a dark secret
in the deepest recesses of his soul. This lad was a sorcerer.
You see, the town was against magic in any sort of way,
believing it to be hell-spawn. But this boy didn't see it that way.
What he could create was beautiful to him, and it was good and pure.
One day, while practicing his spells in the woods alone, he was discovered by a young child.
She was afraid, for she had always been told that magic was evil and twisted.
Despite his efforts to placate her, she ran quickly to get her parents.
Scared at the thought of what would happen to him, the boy knew he could not stay. So he ran,
farther and farther, away from the home he had once known.
And as the girl led the town back to the spot where she had witnessed this evil magic,
it seemed the boy had vanished.
And he did not return.​
