Music Bank is now putting a strict rule regarding fans taking pictures or videos of the idols, where fans and media reporters are only allowed to take photos of the idols on their way to the broadcast station only while lining up behind the barricades. This is so in order to prevent dangerous accidents that occur from some fans who are trying to get close to the idols when taking pictures or videos. Instead, news reporters will now on be taking photos of the idols.
Kbs has then stated:
“We are planning on releasing videos of the artists’ commute through KBS’s news media channel for the audience and hallyu fans.” Which means that only fans are able to see the idols through photos that have been taken by news reporters and KBS, not the fans themselves.
“Announcement Regarding The Restrictions On Filming The Artists Appearing On KBS Music Bank During Their Commute
Excessive competition to film the artists on their commute to appear on KBS’s program <Music Bank> has caused dangerous accidents. In order to prevent these dangers and to prevent infringement of rights from filming artists without their consent, we would like to limit the Music Bank Commute photo event to the restrictions listed below.
After discussing with the artists’ agencies and the Music Bank producers, we are planning on releasing videos of the artists’ commute through KBS’s news media channel for the audience and hallyu fans. We ask for your understanding.
