I don't have a problem with temporary groups. It’s just that if they are already in a group, the original group would have missing members and the ones inactive in the group would have to halt of there activities and focus on that group. Also I hated the Produce 101 scandal that caused X1 to disband in less than a year
There are some Positives to temporary groups like the idols get exposure for the future groups they join or if they want to try acting but the sad parts are about temporary groups is that it's a waste for the Trainees if they are only active for a year or 6 months and then disband example X1 or IOI.
Its really sad tbh..
Overall, I think there are lots of cons for being part of a temporary group. When you don't succeed or reach a certain level of success with that temporary group, an unspoken nametag with the word ' not so good ' is placed on your back.
These trainees often have to endure greater mental stress than usual, they often have a great number of haters, and often companies reject trainees if they have a history of failure.
It's painful to watch these trainees struggle with rejection and fight against depression. There are some dark sides to K-POP and this, is one of them.
