I was watching asmr one day & people in the comments were saying the girl in the video looked like Lisa from BP and I was like "who tf is Lisa from BP" and typed in "Lisa from BP" in YouTube and it pulled up Blackpink and then I got into BTS after that cause it recommended a video of theirs to me so yeah

that's kinda funny if someone looks even a tiny bit like a kpop idol they immediately get bombarded by fans

One day, when I was a kid, I saw BTS on TV and KABOOM. My life literally changed when I found SKZ in 2018, like SKZ basically was there for me ever since I was 6 but anyways thats how i got into kpop

One day I was in a store and I heard We lost the Summer ～ Txt and I loved it but I couldn't find it anywhere at first, but like 3 years later after the release of the song I finally found it and I started to listen to Txt more. Then I listened to other groups like stray kids and twice, then I was a Kpop fan.

I was on the plane from Japan to New York, then I was listening to music ( cuz yeah I wuz board) then I find this album writen by StrayKids, then I listen to one song ( chk Chk boom ) and I fell in love with THEMMMM yeah

All the way back in 2020 when How You Like That and Dynamite blew up, I for some reason decided i hated kpop(?). Then KPDH came out, and i wanted to hate it so bad, but I ended up actually liking it. Then Ateez gets recommended to me and suddenly I'm too deep into kpop

I saw a random YouTube short of Lisa from BLACKPINK dancing to DDU-DU DDU-DU at one of their concerts, and I really liked the song, so I looked it up, and I let it autoplay other BLACKPINK songs. I fell in love with K-Pop for a while, stopped listening to it for a few months, and now I’m back to being obsessed with it.

i got thunderous (skz) on my youtube homepage and i loved it, so i looked at their other songs and liked them too. i got into them then bts shortly after. then more groups. i think that's how it went, was a long ass time ago

One day in September 2025 (yes, I'm new-), I was trying to find songs that I could practice with to improve my singing, and I got recommended Stray Kids backdoor mv. Soooo I watched it, kept rewatching it for a few days lol, then finally realized that they probably have more songs than just this one, and so I searched them up and discovered more groups like Enhypen! Buuuut if we want to be technical, the first Idol I ever knew about was V from BTS because everytime I would hit ctrl c and ctrl v to copy and paste something into the search bar, sometimes I would forget to hit the ctrl button and just press v, so when I entered v he came up and I wanted to know who the heck this attractive guy was.
Also, I feel likee most people I know got into K-pop through BTS or BLACKPINK....

Back in late 1997 a friend in high school who was already an avid listener of the genre got me into K-pop. He recommend that I watch the mv for 'I'm Your Girl' by S.E.S. a week after it was released. So thanks to him and S.E.S. I got hooked.
The following year I got into Fin.K.L, SHINHWA, and Circle.

Before anyone asks how we were able to watch it on tv when Youtube didn't exist then. During that time the co-op we lived in had a Satellite dish, So everyone living there was able to watch international channels. I watched the Japanese & South Korean channels quite frequently.
