YT did something to prevent mass streaming

So, ads don't count as views anymore. And mass streaming among Kpop fans won't count as views also. So small achievements on who had most views in the last 11hrs won't be a thing anymore :< Thoughts on this?

Yeah, like recently made a comeback w feel special and usually, they reach 10 mil easily. But since YT changed their policy, the amount of views they have received dropped.

You know how streaming increases the views, right? The new policy will not count views, from the same person. The views will just say the ACTUAL amount of people that watched the MV, it will not count repetitive views. ( from what i've read ) this is a big deal for some fandoms.

that would only work if you're login in right? unless they're taking note of ip adresses in which case a vpn might circumvent that.... hmm sounds confusing

I mean yeah, it is quite confusing.

There are so many way to mark and identify your computer/phone than a VPN is mostly ineffective if they want. It's Google, they have markers on any site out there, they have a global survey of internet traffic and they own android and google maps.

I've seen elsewhere that Twice views count got a big drop but I never cared about the MV views.

I think news about 200 millions views achievement in few weeks is pretty suspect, except perhaps for BTS (they sell 5x more that the second best seller just this year), so I would be glad if that sort of news got less frequent because of this. But I'm pretty sure that won't stop the paid add, it's YT and Google income.

I watch the MV if I like it, but I won't stream for streaming, I think it's the best way to push people for using botnets, and the companies already use any mean to influence the market. The music show awards are already enough ringed.
