have u ever been in a haunted place?

i don’t mean like a fun haunted house with fake stuff, like genuinely haunted places? if so what was ur experience there?

other than my house (lmao i do be haunted doe) i went to this hotel that had history of being haunted. so basically my family and i were eating dinner at the hotel (they had a buffet) and we were gonna go straight to the pool to swim after eating, but i was super tired so i took a room key and went back to our room. when i was in the hallway i saw a really tall, dark figure standing at the edge of the hallway but i was so tired i didn’t think much of it. when i got into the room i went straight to bed but i couldn’t sleep because i heard really obnoxious loud knocking coming from the ceiling, which was strange but i just thought it was the people in the room above us, but i didn’t find out until later that i was on the top floor, and there was no one above us. (i was tired ok)

The dorm building I stayed in for my first year of college was said to be haunted by a famous inventor that had died there, but I never saw anything.
I've also been to the Mark Twain House, which is supposed to be haunted.
There is also this shut down mental asylum in my town that people say is haunted, but I know that's completely false.

My house is haunted, the neighbor's house next to ours is haunted. There is a park/wooded area in our neighborhood and a creek, that is also haunted and ties in with my neighbor's house.

My best friend's childhood home is haunted. Or she says. Only one thing ever happened there, but we have no explanation as to why it happened.

There is a tower here at this lake that is haunted, it's even on one of those famous haunted places in America websites. We went there once to check it out.

As far as my house goes: we've seen appritions, heard voices, things have been misplaced, things have been thrown, the dogs have seen stuff that wasn't there.

What happened with my neigbor & ties in with the creek, back in the 80s, there was this woman living in the house next to us and she had two sons, one day the sons and a couple other friends went playing by the creek when a bad storm came in and the younger son fell into the creek and was swept away by the currant. His mom died in the house years later.

As for my best friend's house: her and I and another friend were there by ourselves one night and we heard a loud noise outside and her dogs started growling and barking rather viscously before it went quiet, and then her air conditioner in the living room came on by itself, when previously we hadn't been able to get it on.

But honestly that reminds me...something similar happened like that in my neighborhood when i was a kid.

It was during the summer and we heard an ice cream truck. It was super loud, like it was right outside our house but when we opened the door, there was no truck, but you could hear the song fading away as if it was going down the street.

I only remembered it cause the next day, my friends and i were having a "club meeting" in our clubhouse and one of them asked if anyone else heard it and we said yes and he was like "yeah, did you hear it at 1am too?" And none of us said anything but we all got quiet and the color drained from our faces. Never heard it anymore after that though.

The story goes, it was an old watch tower years ago but a woman's screams can be heard inside of it and people have felt someone walking down the steps with them as they are leaving.

It looks exactly like that to this day, but there's kind of an opening, not really big enough for an adult to get into, maybe a small child, but even that is dangerous. But i remember my brother and i kept looking in there and daring each other to stick our hands in there. I did throw a rock in there before we left and the echo went on for a good minute afterwards

See, that's the thing. Nothing bad or "well, our lives are in danger, we better leave" has happened. The ghosts are pretty nice.

I remember one night, i was trying to sleep cause i had school in the morning and i couldn't sleep because the ghosts were talking too loud and waking me up. I was like "hey ghosts, i'm not trying to be rude or anything, but could you guys keep it down please? I have school in the morning and need to sleep." And they stopped talking after that, which i thought was really sweet of them.

Even the two times things have been thrown off our walls, it was never in a harmful way, but more of a way to get our attention and let us know that someone else is here with us.

Oh I forgot!
When my paternal grandmother died there were two incidents in my house, even though she never lived there.
My dad was the only person to see them.
1.He came downstairs one morning to find a ball of twine, which is normally perfectly wrapped up, all untangled and a mess on the floor. We know it wasn't one of our pets because twine was on a high shelf in a closed pantry, so they could not reach it.
2. He came downstairs one morning and found all of the kitchen cabinets wide open, which nobody could have done.
After that nothing happened, so I'm assuming her soul passed on, or she went to haunt one of my uncles.
