my (offensive) k-pop opinions

now i know i sound like one of those k-pop youtubers but these opinions are unpopular and I haven't met anybody that agrees with me on these specific topics.

1) I feel bad for Wonyoung
Now don't get me wrong, Wonyoung is very talented and she really is a born-to-be idol, but personally I feel that she debuted too young and it kinda makes me sad.
It is said (from the sources i have read) that she was a trainee for 1 year and two months.
now, let's do some simple math.
She was 13 years old when she appeared on Produce48 and 14 when she won Produce48.
If we are going to be exact, we need to count age with not only years, but months too.
Wonyoung was 13 years and 11 months old when joining Produce48, and she had been training 1 year and 2 months prior to joining Produce48.
subtract a year, we get 12 years and 11 months and subtract another 2 months gives us the age she began her training at Starship entertainment, which was 12 years and 9 months. Now, I am aware that trainees begin training at a young age, but for somebody as successful as Wonyoung, this can put so much pressure on her, especially since she debuted so young, and training is already hard enough. I mean, imagine just turning 14 and ranking first in Produce48 after training since you were just 12 years old, that's insane. I hope after IZ*ONE disbands, she doesn't immediately debut, and same goes for all of the girls. I think they should focus on their physical and mental health, especially Wonyoung because she is so young.

2) I genuinely don't like Oh My God by (G)-IDLE
lot of (G)-IDLE songs are good, but this one just was not it for me. Don't get me wrong, I love some (G)-IDLE songs but in particular I just really didn't like this one. I'm not going to say that I hate it, because there are much worse songs out there, **cough cough** Mirror Mirror **cough cough** , but I really did not like Oh My God. I think it was mainly the chorus that just made me stop wanting to listen to it, but other than that it's not horrible, just isn't my cup of tea. I don't hate the song but you won't catch me listening to it.

3) I absolutely do not understand the hype over Blackpink
Okay, I like Blackpink's songs and stuff but holy moly guacamole you guys are overhyping them. yes, their music is good. yes, their members are likable people, but you guys are giving them so much hype and I don't understand it because in my opinion they aren't that good compared to other groups. It isn't the lack of comebacks for me but it's just the fact that a lot of Blinks describe Blackpink like they are the saviors of the entire earth but when you give BP's music a listen you aren't exactly blown away by their music. Not because you don't like their music but because Blinks were overhyping the heck outta them. I'm not saying that BP's songs are bad but what i'm trying to say is Blinks hype up Blackpink so much to the point where it just gets annoying.

4) YG and Pledis are a match made in hell

5) Twice Nayeon is not that pretty
Do not take this the wrong way, I think she is pretty in her own way and I love her as an idol and as a person, but when it comes to my opinion and in comparison to the other members, I don't think she is that pretty. I do not hate her nor do i think she's ugly, but I just don't think she's as pretty as Jihyo or Tzuyu.

6) I am scared of NCT and their stans
no offense but i am scared of some of you guys

LOONA needs more hype
in Korea, LOONA is not very well known. it's sad. Before LOONA debuted, Twice's debut was said to be the most ambitious debut in all of
K-pop. In 2016, Heejin, the first girl, was revealed. over a course of 12 more months, 11 more girls and 3 subunits debuted. Now, me being a hardcore stan, i am very interested in LOONA's lore and the theories behind it. Everything from their teaser photos to their Music videos have meaning behind it. Everything is there for a reason. All the members are represented by a color and an animal. some are even represented by a fruit. Before LOONA debuted, Twice's debut was named the most ambitious debut. Now LOONA holds the title for the most ambitious debut. LOONA also holds the title for the most expensive girl group debut. Are they as popular as Twice? Nope.

We need IZ*ONE to be a permanent group
period.

For Wonyoung... You have to think about what she wanted. Yes, it put pressure on her, but it was probably her dream to debut, and to her, this is probably her chance and her one big wish, and she probably had a conversation with her parents about becoming an idol full-time.

I always also thought that BP‘s songs were bland, even as a Blink. I believe that The Album/Lovesick Girls has been their best comeback yet.

I think the reason Blackpink is so hyped is that due to their hiatuses the only thing that Blinks can really do is stream their mvs and talk about their old content. So they get more hype over their old work than most groups. And then when they do have a comeback it get's even more overhyped due to the rarity of them. With the Blackpink opinion, I personally think any major group in Big3 will get a certain amount of overhyping just because of automatic exposure.

Personally I don’t stan many Big3 groups, so I don’t really have a mixed opinion, and I’m not saying they don’t deserve or work hard for their fans because they do. They have a lot of loyal fans who love them and appreciate what they do. But they also have a lot of fans who probably only stan them so they can constantly feel successful stanning a group that is constantly winning awards, and using their group to benefit for their own superiority
