Live #1 with Helena​

[Helena is sitting on a couch in her dorm. She’s holding a cat pillow in her lap and holding the camera up to her face.]

Helena: Hi, everyone! I was told last night that I was supposed to do this, so I guess this is a thing I’m doing now? I’m not exactly sure how they want me to do this, so I guess I’ll just wing it. In case you guys don’t know, I’m Helena, a contestant on the survival show Global Idol. You guys may be watching from Elarion, or Earth, or another world we’re broadcasting to. Wherever you’re watching from, hello and good morning!

[She stops talking and thinks for a minute.]

Helena: I know they have some questions you all asked that they want me to answer, but I think I’ll do that later. For now, I feel like giving you a tour of the dorm.

[She stands up and spins in a circle, so the audience can see the room around her. She’s in a tiny living room. There’s a black couch behind her, and a kitchen can be seen behind it. On the wall after it is a bunch of cute photographs and a coffee table with little snow globes on it. On the wall after that is a large rectangle mounted on the wall that slightly resembles a TV, except it’s a mirror in its off state. A mound of pillows and blankets are beneath it.]

Helena: This is our living room.

[She points to the coffee table with the snow globes.]

Helena: There’s a snow globe there from each continent on Elarion.

[She walks over to the table and begins showing off the snow globes. She picks up the first one, which has a choir singing.]

Helena: This one is from Virelia. Where I’m from. The human continent. Oh, and if you look closely, there’s an engraving that says Caulden Reach.

[She points the camera to the tiny writing, then sets the snow globe down and picks up the next one. This one has a bunch of witches holding hands around a cauldron.]

Helena: This one’s from Magitrons. I think it’s a little spooky, but I guess they like that down there. Although, none of the witches I’ve met are like you’d think they would be. They’re all super cute and nice.

[She sets this one down and picks up a snow globe that has a dragon sitting by the base of a volcano.]

Helena: I don’t think Ashvale gets snow, but this is what would happen if it did. I think all the fire and lava would burn all the snow up. It’s very hot in Ashvale. I went once and I was badly burned within twenty minutes, but not from the sun.

[She picks up another snow globe, this one with a little half sun/half moon statue in the middle.]

Helena: This one is from Everglen. I think this guy is the symbol that’s on their flag, if I remember right. But don’t quote me on that.

[The next snow globe is a large city.]

Helena: This one is from Ausglas, the elf continent. I think this one’s my favorite, it’s very pretty. It gives the vibes of winter. Something about a city with snow falling on it is just beautiful, at least to me.

[The last one shows three little goblin kids holding hands around a fire.]

Helena: In case you guys can’t guess where this one is from, it’s from Blorg. The goblin continent.

[She sets the snow globe back down and rearranges them to how they had been. Then she brings the camera into the kitchen.]

Helena: This is our kitchen.

[She spins the camera in a little circle so she can show the entire kitchen. It’s right by the entrance of the house. A counter wraps around most of it, which is cluttered with snacks, paperwork and other random things the girls have left there. Next to it is a door that leads onto a balcony. Then a fridge that’s cluttered with more papers, and a tiny table with four seats that has a bunch of dirty dishes stacked on it.]

Helena: Our kitchen is really messy today. Usually we’re better at cleaning, but these last few weeks have been very busy. Maybe I’ll finally get to do the dishes after I’m done filming this live.

[She heads into a small hallway that’s next to the kitchen. There are three doors, two on either side of her and one that’s at the end of the hallway. She shows off the doors. The door on the right has a wooden sign that reads: Helena & Sabrina’s Room. The door on the left has a similar sign that reads: Mollie & Leilani’s Room.]

Helena: This is the hallway with our bedrooms. I’ll only show you my room, because I think Mollie and Leilani are still asleep. I don’t want to wake them up. Sabrina always gets up early and goes to the gym that’s downstairs, so I don’t have to worry about waking her up.

[She goes into the room and points the camera around. There’s a tiny desk that’s full of clutter, a closet overflowing with clothes, and a bunk bed. The bottom bunk is perfectly made and organized, while the top bunk is in disarray. Helena sits on the bottom bunk.]

Helena: I made my bed this morning. I figured something in this apartment needed to look nice. I think we may have the most disorganized dorm out of anyone here.

[She nods slowly, then laughs and turns off the camera.]

[When the camera turns back on again, she’s sitting at the table in the kitchen, which has been cleaned and cleared of all its clutter.]
Helena: I was embarrassed to show you all our messy dorm earlier, so I decided to clean up a bit. After I got back from the PREP building, I spent an hour cleaning so you guys wouldn’t think I’m messy. I hope you all like it!

[She picks up the camera and shows off the now spotless kitchen. Then she sets the camera back down.]
Helena: I promised I’d answer some questions earlier, so I guess I’ll do that now. My roommates have all gone across the street to buy cheesecake from a bakery, so I have some time alone. But don’t worry, they promised they’d buy me some. I love cheesecake, but I need to film this for you guys! Be glad I enjoy doing it.

[She playfully scolds the camera, then laughs.]
Helena: Okay, let’s see some of these questions…

[She pulls out her phone and begins to scroll.]
Helena: I have a lot of messages on Posted! from you guys, so I’ll answer some questions from there. Um, let’s see… Oh, here we go! Question #1: ‘How many years have you been training to become an idol?’ Oh, wow, that’s a good question. Um… I’ve been under PREP for only a few months. I’ve been auditioning for five-ish years? I’ve auditioned for a lot of companies. But PREP was the first to accept me. If you want to know how long I’ve been playing music, I started piano when I was five, and kinda just went from there. Okay, next question!

[Time lapse of Helena scrolling through messages.]
Helena: Wow, sorry, I got distracted, but I found one! Question #2: ‘Who’s your favorite music artist?’ Oh, that’s easy. I’m a big fan of Jessica Monroe. For those who don’t know who she is, she was a huge Virelian musician back when I was about five? She’s kinda retired now, but she was a huge thing in the music industry for about twenty-ish years. I recommend listening to her, I love her music! I’d love to collab with her, although I’m not sure if that would ever happen. Okay, let’s see, Question #3: ‘How do you pronounce ‘tupper ware’?’

[She laughs.]
Helena: Okay, that’s an… Interesting question to ask. You say it like it’s spelled. Tupper ware. I wonder why they asked this. Is there a wrong way to say it? I’d love to know why this person asked this. Okay, next question.

[She laughs again, then begins scrolling some more.]
Helena: ‘How is Elarion culture different from Earth culture?’ Oh, that’s a good question. Um, I’m not sure how to answer, actually. Like, holidays? Or just life in general? I don’t know much about Earth culture, honestly…

[She thinks for a bit, then turns back to the camera.]
Helena: I’ll change that question to say how Virelian culture is different from American culture. America is the only place on Earth I’ve ever visited, but it wasn’t that long. I’m not sure if what I say will be accurate, but I can try to explain some things. Basically, Virelia and America are the same in a lot of ways. We both have a very heavy emphasis on pop culture. America has Hollywood and Broadway. We have NewLight and KoolDown. American pop culture seems to be centered around movies, musicals and modeling. We mostly just focus on music. I guess that’s one difference between us.

[She thinks for a bit longer.]

Helena: Yeah, I don’t really know what else to say about it. I don’t know much about Earth culture, as we’ve only had contact with Earth for a few months. Once I learn more about Earth culture, I’ll get back to you on that. Give you a little lesson by Teacher Helena.

[She laughs, then looks at the next question.]
Helena: ‘When you play mermaids in the pool, what color is your mermaid tail?’ Easy. It’s pink. ‘What is your dream hair color?’ Same answer. Pink. Guys, I love pink. It’s the best color. Pretty much everything I own is pink.

[She shows off her pink highlights to the camera.]

Helena: I even have pink highlights now, see? Soon I’d love to go full pink, but highlights will do for now.

[She scrolls to find another question.]
Helena: I think this will be our last question for today, I’ve been talking for a while. My roommates will be back any second now. Oh, here’s one! ‘What’s your purse or pocket layout?'

[She stands up and leaves for a moment, then comes back carrying a pink purse. She opens it and shows the camera what’s inside. She opens a secret pocket in the back first.]
Helena: I keep my Posted! Crystal in this hidden pocket right here. Then in the main pocket, I have my wallet, make-up, lotion, keys and my notebook that I scribble in when I get bored.

[She shifts the purse around, then opens a pocket in the front.]
Helena: In this pocket, I keep a few pens and pencils, mostly for my notebook. I also have a bunch of candy in here, if me or someone else gets hungry.

[She hides some things from the view of the camera.]
Helena: This is also the pocket where my personal things go.

[She sets the purse down beside her.]
Helena: Well, it’s been fun, but my cheesecake is coming and I am hungry, so I’ll be signing off now. Love you all, see you soon! Bye!

[She blows a kiss to the camera, then ends the live.]

Amber's Birthday Live​

[Amber is sitting at her desk in her dorm room, which has been decorated for her birthday. There are lots of streamers, balloons and a large banner sits behind Amber that reads: ‘Happy 23rd Birthday!’]

Amber: Hey, guys! I’m Amber, from Global Idol. If you can’t tell, it’s my birthday. Technically, yesterday was my birthday, but I had the day off so my official “company” birthday is today, I guess.

[She laughs.]

Amber: I guess you guys are wondering how I spent my birthday. Honestly, I didn’t do much. I’m far away from home right now, so everyone I might have spent it with is back on Ashvale. Except Ashy. I spent my day with Ashy, who is my best friend from Ashvale. She’s also on Global Idol, so I guess we’re technically rivals now.

[Another laugh.]

Amber: Well, yesterday I slept in, because I had the day off. Then I made myself breakfast and worked on some things I’ve been trying to get done for a while. It was nice, just having the dorm to myself. Everyone else still had work, so I didn’t have to worry about my roommates. They’re great, they’re just very distracting.

[She fidgets with her fingers and thinks for a moment.]


Amber: Then after Ashy got off work, we went shopping for a bit. That was fun, I bought some clothes that are unique to Virelia, so I can spice up my wardrobe a bit. Um, then I came home and talked to my parents for a bit. They sent me a present, so I opened it with them. Then I had dinner with my roommates and went to bed. That’s pretty much everything I did, I think.

[A slight pause where Amber thinks for a moment.]

Amber: I feel like I’m talking to myself, and I’m not used to it.

[She pushes over some presents that had been sitting next to her on the desk, just out of the camera’s sight.]

Amber: I got some presents from people that I had to open for the live. To make it more interesting, I guess. I mean, this can’t have been too entertaining so far. I’m not good at socializing, I’m sorry!

[She picks up the first present, a red and gold striped rectangle.]

Amber: I think this one is from Ashy. I got a present from each Global Idol team, plus one from Ashy. I’m not sure how much the company bribed them to give me a present, but thank you guys anyways! Even though I barely know any of you yet, I’ve only been here for about two weeks? It’s almost been two weeks. Next Monday I’ll have been here for two weeks. So, yeah, I don’t really know anyone that well yet. Except Ashy, but she doesn’t count.

[Amber unwraps the present and shows the camera what was inside. It’s a dark red sweater with a logo that says FW with a crown on top.]

Amber: If you guys don’t know, this is the logo of the band Ashy and I were in when we were in high school. It was called Forever Winner. You guys should go listen to our songs. Fun fact, I wrote most of them!

[She folds up the sweater and then picks up the next present. This one is in a dark blue bag with the words ‘Happy Birthday!’ on it.]

Amber: I think this one is from the world hoppers.

[She looks around for a tag and finds a card. She holds it up to the camera. It’s a white envelope, but it reads: ‘To: Amber, From: The World Hoppers!]

Amber: I was right! They even wrote me a card, how cute!

[She opens the card and reads it silently.]

Amber: Do you guys want me to read the card out loud? Am I supposed to do that? I don’t know. I’m not going to, because the cards feel a bit personal.

[She sets the card to the side and opens the present. Inside are new drumsticks.]

Amber: Oh, these are helpful. I left my pair back in Ashvale by accident. I tried to get my parents to mail them to me, but they didn’t. So now I can play again!

[She plays a quick beat on the table, then laughs.]

Amber: I’ve missed being able to play.

[She sets the drumsticks onto the sweater and picks up the next present, a small pink and white box.]

Amber: This one is from the elf team and spirit walker team. Two of my roommates are from the spirit walker team, so let's see if they know what to get me.

[She unwraps the present and pulls out a bunch of hair dye. She laughs and sets out the colors onto the table. There’s every possible color, some with several shades.]

Amber: So, there’s a bit of a reason why this is the present. Oralie and I were talking one day about some of the things we’re excited to do while on the show. I said that I’m most excited to dye my hair different colors, but Oralie thought I had said I’d do it all at once. So I said I would so appease her. I guess she’s holding me to it. Rainbow hair will be coming soon!

[She picks up the colors and sets them to the side, but grabs a dark shade of red from the pile and shows it to the camera.]

Amber: This is my favorite color. Dark red. It’s really pretty. I think I might do this one on its own after my rainbow hair.

[She sets it down and grabs the next present, a large rectangle wrapped in dark red wrapping.]

Amber: I think this one is from my team. Ashy, Emmie, Leilani and Scarlet. They kind of already spoiled the present for me, as Ashy is terrible at keeping secrets, but I’ve been wanting this for a while.

[Amber sets the box on the table and unwraps it. She holds up a cardboard box to the screen, which has some writing on it.]

Amber: I’m not sure if you can tell what this is. It might now show well through the camera. It’s a Posted! Frame, except the kind that’s specifically for composing music. I also have the art version of these, but I’ve been wanting the music composition one for a while now. I’m getting into songwriting, so this will be nice to have.

[She sets the box down.]

Amber: They might not want me to tell you this, but PREP has approved to let me use one of the songs I wrote for a thing we’re going to do in a few weeks. I’m not going to spoil it, but I’m excited! Okay, I need to stop talking before I spoil everything.

[She picks up the next box, which is a small gold and red rectangle.]

Amber: This is from the human team. I think we need better names for our teams to differentiate them by. Original names, not just by the species that we are. I’m going to suggest that to the people, actually. I’m putting dibs on a name right now, actually! Um… “The Most Amazing Team of all Elarion”. I think that works.

[She laughs and opens the present. Inside is a box of pens for a Posted! Frame.]

Amber: Ooh, new pens! For my art Frame. I needed new ones, my last one just broke on me. It, like, split in two. I’m still not sure how that one happened. Guess I used it too much. But it doesn’t matter now, because I have new ones! Thank you!

[She studies the presents next to her.]

Amber: Alright, how many do I have left?

[She picks up two presents.]

Amber: That was a very stupid question. I don’t know how to count, guys.

[She sets the presents down, and picks up one with red and green wrapping.]

Amber: This one is from the witch team. Which means the last one…

[She points to a purple gift.]

Amber: Is from the goblins. I’m going to open this one first.

[She puts it down on the table and unwraps it. She takes out a card and reads through it, then sets it down beside her.]

Amber: I’m still not reading it. Sorry, not sorry.

[She takes out the present and shows it to the camera. It’s a picture frame holding a photo of all the contestants posing outside PREP on the day they all moved in.]

Amber: Aw, wait, this is so cute! I forgot we took a picture together. This was only a few weeks ago, but we all look like little babies! Things have changed so much over the last few weeks. Now we’re all friends yet rivals at the same time. It’s a little concerning, honestly. But this will be a cute souvenir to keep with me as the show progresses. Thank you, guys!

[She sets the photograph down and laughs.]

Amber: Man, I’m getting emotional for no reason. Okay, last present! We’re almost done here! I know I am looking forward to being done a lot more than you guys are. Not because of you, I’m sure everyone watching this is amazing, but it’s a bit odd to be speaking to a camera in an empty room. I’d prefer to meet my fans face-to-face. I can’t wait to do that, I’d love to meet you all! But for now, I guess I’ll just be talking to an empty room.

[She picks up the last present and opens it.]

Amber: Oh, wait, this is cool. I don’t want to move these in case I break them, so I’ll move the camera instead.

[She grabs the camera and holds it over the box. Inside the box are seven painted mugs.]

Amber: They made me mugs! They’re so cute! I have one for every day of the week now. I love them! Thank you guys!

[She sets the camera back up.]

Amber: Thank you to everyone who sent me a present or birthday wishes, it means a lot. I hope to see you all face-to-face soon! Hopefully before they force me to do another live!

[She laughs.]

Amber: But seriously, I love you all! Bye!

[She turns off the camera and the live ends.]

Live #2​

[One of the judges of Global Idol, Penelope Shade, is standing outside one of the Virelian shopping malls. She looks behind her and gestures to a girl who’s hiding behind some racks. The girl shakes her head and shrinks further down. Penelope turns to the camera and sighs.]

Penelope: Hello everyone, welcome to Mary’s live! For the record, I’m not Mary. That’s Mary.

[She points to the rack where the girl had been hiding behind.]

Penelope: I’m Penelope Shade, one of the judges of Global Idol. I was sent with Mary to see if I could help her overcome her stage fright and get her to record something. Except I’m not sure if that’s actually working…

[She walks over to the rack and tries to coax Mary out, but walks back when it doesn’t work.]

Penelope: Yeah, um, stay tuned to see if we can get any footage of her, I guess. How we got a contestant with really bad stage fright is a mystery that I guess will never be solved. Her audition video was amazing. She has talent, definitely. We just need to get her to show it off to the world! Which is why we’re out here. I’m trying to see if we can have a friendly shopping day and get Mary to relax around cameras. And other people. I think talking in front of others is the first step to ease her stage fright, so please be supportive as we try to get Mary ready for the actual show.

[The camera turns off and turns back on a bit later. Penelope and Mary are standing by a rack of sweaters. Penelope points to the camera and says something to Mary, who faces the camera and goes pale. She dives behind the rack, and Penelope turns to the camera and sighs.]

Penelope: Attempt two is a fail.

[She turns to Mary and tries to coax her out.]

Penelope: Mary, it’s fine. Just pretend the camera isn’t there. You can come out, it’s okay.

[Mary peeks out and glares at Penelope, then spots the camera and disappears again. Penelope turns to the camera in exasperation.]

Penelope: I don’t think I’m the right person for this job. Maybe it would be better if we sent an actual contestant in…

[She turns back to Mary.]

Penelope: Hey, Mary, would you forget the cameras are there if you have your roommates with you?

Mary: No.

Penelope: Is there anything we can do to help you get over this stage fright?

[Mary looks at the camera, then shakes her head hard. Penelope turns to the camera and holds up a finger.]

Penelope: We’ll return in a bit.

[The camera turns off and turns back on after a beat. Penelope and Mary are now standing outside of a jewelry store. Penelope is keeping one eye on the camera and one eye on Mary, making sure she doesn’t bolt. She leads Mary through a few deep breaths to try and calm her down, then points to the camera. Mary turns to it and freezes.]

Penelope: Hey, it’s okay, see? You’re standing here, in front of a camera, and nothing’s going wrong. Nobody’s going to laugh at you. It’s okay.

[Mary continues to stand there, terrified.]

Penelope: It’s okay. You’re not running. That’s a good start.

[Mary continues to stand there and stare at the camera, determining if she wants to bolt or not. Penelope sees the glint in her eyes and holds up a finger.]

Penelope: No, Mary, you were doing so good-

[Mary inches out of view and then runs into the shop behind her. Penelope sighs.]

Penelope: Maybe we’ll have her ready to face the cameras by the time the show starts. That’s the hope. We want her to have a fair chance, like the other contestants. But if she can’t perform in front of a camera or an audience, then there’s not much hope of her getting very far. We can try, but if you don’t see her anywhere in the first episode, then you know why.

[Penelope gives an awkward thumbs up, then turns the camera off. The camera turns back on a few beats later. Penelope and Mary are now at a table in Mary’s dorm. Penelope is facing the camera, while Mary is facing away.]

Penelope: Alright, camera’s on. They can’t see your face. Does this help any?

Mary: Am I going to have to sing?

Penelope: Not yet, at least not for the live, anyways. You can, if you want to. But we won’t force you.

Mary: What am I going to do, then?

Penelope: Do you want to answer some questions?

Mary: Um, sure, what questions?

Penelope: Well, maybe we can answer some questions the viewers have for you?

[Mary shakes her head.]

Penelope: Maybe you could just tell the audience something about yourself?

Mary: Like what?

Penelope: Hm… You write music, correct?

Mary: [Quietly.] Yeah…

Penelope: Hey, that’s nothing to be shy about! That’s cool! What do you write music about?

Mary: Um, I write about anything. Kind of just whatever I’m feeling at the time.

Penelope: Can you give us an example of something?

Mary: I have a few love songs, from when I had a crush on a boy in my village… I also have a song about various foods I like…

Penelope: That one sounds fun. I’d love to hear that one sometime.

Mary: No, that one’s stupid.

Penelope: Oh, alright…

Mary: I also write songs about school, and being a teenager and stuff.

Penelope: Would you ever like to perform one of your songs for the show? Or write a new one for the show?

Mary: Maybe. But I’m not good at performing in front of people.

Penelope: Because of your stage fright?

Mary: Yeah.

Penelope: Have you always had stage fright?

Mary: No. But the first time I performed on stage was terrible and I vowed never to go back onstage.

Penelope: So why did you audition for the show, then?

Mary: Oh, that wasn’t my choice. My parents tricked me into auditioning. They recorded me performing and sent it in.

Penelope: Oh yeah, I remember that your audition was virtual. That makes sense now. So if it had been your decision, would you have auditioned?

Mary: No.

Penelope: If we can figure out a way for you to perform onstage without getting nervous, will this be better for you?

Mary: If I can perform without sucking, then yes.

Penelope: Pfft, I’m sure you don’t suck.

Mary: Uh, yes, I do.

Penelope: Okay, fine. Maybe we can start small, then. Perform for me.

Mary: The camera’s still on.

Penelope: We can turn it off, if you want. Or we can record this and cut it out if you feel like it wasn’t good enough to be shown. And it could also be a confidence boost! Penelope: Um, if it’s terrible, then we obviously made a mistake putting you in the show. So if someone thought your audition was good enough to put you here, then you impressed someone. So you’d better hope it won’t be horrible.

Mary: Ough, fine. I’ll perform. One song. That’s it. And not any originals. I… I don’t feel ready to share those yet.

Penelope: Great! What song will you sing, instead?

Mary: Um, I’ve been learning some songs from Earth, recently. Maybe I’ll play one of those.

Penelope: Ooh, I’d love to hear it!

Mary: Alright… I’ll go get my guitar.

[She stands up and spots the camera, then rushes out of the room. Penelope stands up and turns off the camera, which turns back on in a new setting. Mary and Penelope are now sitting on the balcony of Mary’s dorm. Mary is holding her guitar and sitting on a porch swing, and Penelope is sitting on an arm chair across from her. The camera is behind Mary, facing Penelope.]

Penelope: Hey, Mary, look at me. You have been talking to me, in front of a camera, for a while now. And you have done great. You aren’t even stuttering anymore. Just forget the camera is there. Forget I’m here. Pretend you’re all along, in Magitrons. In your room or wherever it is you perform. Close your eyes if you have to. I won’t judge. Just close your eyes, and think about the place where you normally play. Immerse yourself in the thought of being there. Think about what it feels like, smells like, whatever else you need to do to pretend you’re there. And when you’re ready, when you’re finally there, you can sing. And you won’t mess up because you will be in the place that makes you happy. Are you ready?

1st Fan Meeting​

[A countdown from 10 begins, and a logo appears once the countdown is done. It stays for a few seconds before being replaced by the activities room of the PREP Entertainment building. 15 contestants stand on a stage, in front of the Global Idol logo. They wave at the camera and begin introductions.]

Polly: Hello!

Ashy: Hi, everyone!

Abby: We should go down a line and introduce ourselves.

Emmie: We should also say what team we’re on.

Veronica: Well, there are only three teams here..

[Oralie clears her throat.]

Sabrina: Except for her.

Helena: So maybe say your name, your team, and, um…

Amber: Favorite color!

[The other contestants give her weird looks.]

Amber: What? It’s a good get to know you question!

Maya: What about something a bit more related to the show?

Kelly: Your favorite music artist?

Sabrina: That could work.

Helena: Guys, this is a broadcast to Earth. They’re not going to know any of the Elarion artists.

Sabrina: Oh, you’re right…

Alyssa: What about something from Earth culture? Like our favorite artist from Earth we like, or our favorite food from there?

Jia: Maybe we could just say our favorite thing from Earth. Like a favorite movie, or song, or artist, or good?

Scarlet: Oh, that’s a good idea.

Emmie: Okay, so, say your name, team name and favorite thing from Earth that you’ve experienced so far!

Mollie: Is it too late to say that I’ve never been to Earth before?

Polly: Just guess something. We’re all a bit familiar with Earth culture, at least. So just throw something random out there.

Mollie: Alright.

[Sabrina points to the front of the line, where Helena is standing.]

Sabrina: Should we start over there?

Helena: I’m fine with that.

Scarlet: We should mix up a little. We’re all standing perfectly in our teams right now.

[The trainees shuffle around, finding a member of a different species to stand by.]

Scarlet: Now we don’t look like we all hate each other.

Polly: It’s a friendly rivalry.

Emmie: Exactly.

Oralie: I’m not sure that’s what the viewers want to hear.

[The contestants all laugh, then go silent so they can begin introducing themselves. The line still begins with Helena, who didn’t move from her spot.]

Helena: Okay, hi, everyone, I’m Helena. I’m from the human team-

Amber: I still think we should do team names!

Polly: Our team is called the Pink Pony Team. Now please continue, Helena.

[Helena rolls her eyes, but continues anyway.]

Helena: I’m Helena of the Pink Pony Team, apparently. My favorite thing from Earth culture would definitely be bubble tea. Gotta love bubble tea.

[Other contestants nod in agreement, and the next contestant in line steps forward.]

Sabrina: Hi, y’all. I’m Sabrina, a member of the… What are we calling ourselves?

Veronica: The Fabulous Team.

Sabrina: Fine. I’m Sabrina, of the Fabulous team. And, um, I really like Ariana Grande.

[The next contestant steps forward.]

Scarlet: I’m Scarlet of the demon team. And before you guys interrupt me, you can make a name later. I’m talking first, though. Okay, my favorite thing from Earth is probably waffles.

Polly: Hi, everyone! I’m Polly. My team is the, uh, what were we calling it again?

[She turns to Helena.]

Helena: The Pink Pony Team.

Polly: Right. That. Yeah. And for the third thing… Mm, I really like the musical Wicked.

Ashy: Right, well, I’m Ashy. I think Amber said our team name was The Most Amazing Team of All Elarion…

[Amber laughs.]

Amber: We can change it.

Ashy: No, I quite like this name. I really like Bon Jovi. That’s my favorite thing from Earth. Their songs are all really good.

[Ashy nods and steps back.]

Leilani: I’m also on The Most Amazing Team of All Elarion, and I like Converse.

Mollie: What’s your name?

Leilani: Oh, yeah. My name’s Leilani.

Jia: My name’s Jia, I’m on the Pink Pony Team, and I like hamburgers.

[She steps back quickly.]

Abby: Wow, that was quick.

Jia: I don’t like get to know you things! They make me nervous!

Alyssa: Why?

Jia: Because I have nothing interesting about me! I am freakin’ boring!

[Oralie steps up.]

Oralie: I’m Oralie, the only member of my team here. So I don’t know what they want our group name to be, we haven’t really discussed that. I’ll let them decide that once it’s time for them to have the spotlight. For now, I’ll just call it the spirit walker team. Mm, let’s see, what’s my favorite thing about Earth culture? I guess I really like the movies from Earth in general. The ones I’ve seen so far are all really good.

Alyssa: Hey! I’m Alyssa, of the, um, elf team.

Sabrina: The Fabulous Team!

Alyssa: I really like cheesecake.

Amber: Yo, wassup? I’m Amber, of The Most Amazing Team of All Elarion! Best team out there! My favorite thing about Earth culture? Probably Hollywood. Hollywood is amazing.

[She gives a thumbs-up to the camera as the next contestant steps up.]

Abby: Third ‘A’ name in this row. I’m Abby, of the Fabulous Team, and I really like the pop music from Earth. It’s different from the music I grew up with, and I really like it.

Veronica: I’m the best member of the Fabulous Team, obviously. So good I don’t even need an introduction.

Sabrina: That’s Veronica.

[Veronica rolls her eyes.]

Veronica: Ough.

Sabrina: What’s your answer to the third question?

Veronica: Um, I don’t have one!

Sabrina: Okay, next person. Someone please get this diva off the stage.

Veronica: Hey, I wasn’t done yet!

Emmie: My turn! I’m Emmie, of The Most Amazing Team of All Elarion! And I like chocolate. M&Ms are my favorite.

Mollie: I’m the last member of the Fabulous Team, Mollie! I like Sabrina Carpenter and Disney Channel. The perfect combination to have on Saturday morning with some ice cream.

Abby: Mollie’s ideal Saturday right there.

Mollie: Exactly.

Kelly: I only came here to perform, but I guess I can introduce myself.

[She laughs.]

Kelly: I’m Kelly, from the Pink Ponies and I like Earth’s various breakdancing styles.

Maya: I also like that. That’s also my favorite part.

Helena: What’s your name?

Maya: Oh, I’m Maya. I’m from the Pink Ponies as well.

Amber: Okay, we’re all done with that. Who wants to explain what we’ll be doing today?

[Emmie steps up.]

Emmie: We’ll be performing for all of you! We all chose a song from your world to sing for you! We started off basic, with some of the more popular songs from your world, but we’ll eventually move into more categories as we go on.

Alyssa: But this is only part one, so look forward to the rest of the contestant’s performances!

Sabrina: Yay!

[The girls laugh.]

Maya: Who’s going first?

Polly: Didn’t they already choose an order for us to go in?

[The girls look around at each other.]

Ashy: Who has the list?

Mollie: Oh, wait, was this it?

[Mollie pulls out a paper.]

Mollie: One of the managers randomly gave it to me. With no explanation whatsoever, but it makes sense that it was for this.

[Alyssa takes the paper and looks it over.]

Alyssa: First up is Scarlet!

Scarlet: Me? Oh, okay!

[She stands there awkwardly as the rest of the contestants leave the stage and settle down in the audience. She stands there for a few seconds before she figures out what to say.]

Scarlet: Okay, so, I’m going to be performing “Bang!” by AJR. Are we good?

[She looks up at the people controlling the music and gives a thumbs up, then the music begins. She laughs, caught a bit off guard as the music begins, but comes in right on cue. She begins dancing around the stage in a choreographed dance as she sings.]

Scarlet: [Singing.] I get up, I get down and I'm jumping around, and the rumpus and ruckus are comfortable now. Been a hell of a ride, but I'm thinking it's time to grow.

[She smiles, then steps a bit closer to the front of the stage.]

Jia: Hi! I hope you all are having a wonderful time watching this! It’s been so fun to prepare all these songs for you all! I definitely did not put as much thought into my song as some of these people did… I mean, Scarlet had a whole cheer guide! I am definitely not that thought out. But I hope you guys can enjoy my song, anyways. I’ll be performing “Don’t Stop The Music” by Rihanna.

[She gives the sound person a thumbs up, and the music begins. Jia breaks into a choreographed dance that she had prepared.]

[She stands in between her two background dancers, and they begin to dance as the song begins.]

[The song ends, and Veronica walks offstage with her background dancers. The audience claps and continues to applaud as Kelly makes her way onstage.]

Kelly: I’m sure none of you have heard of the artist whose song I’m going to sing. I say that sarcastically, of course. From what I’ve heard, she’s all over the place on Earth. Here, though, I don’t think she’s taken quite a hard hold on people. I think other Earth singers are more influential here. So it’ll be interesting to see who’s heard of my song before. Have you viewers from Earth guessed whose song I’m going to be covering yet?

[She waits for a few seconds, to make her grand reveal more interesting.]

Kelly: I’m going to be covering Taylor Swift! More specifically, her song “...Ready For It?”

[She gives a thumbs up to the sound people, then begins her dance routine as the song starts.]

[Kelly bows and blows a kiss to the audience, then steps offstage. She’s followed by Sabrina, Mollie and Abby.]

Sabrina: We’re halfway done! Aren’t you guys so sad about that?

Abby: I’ll be glad once we’re done performing.

[Sabrina laughs.]

Mollie: We haven’t even started yet.

Sabrina: The sooner we introduce our song, the sooner we’ll be done.

Abby: Okay, I can do that. We’ll be performing “Bang Bang” by Jessie J, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj.

Mollie: Everybody ready?

[The crowd bursts into applause.]

Mollie: Alright, then let’s begin!

[The girls all pose and begin to perform as the music starts.]

Ashy: Alright, promotion aside…

Amber: Right. We’re performing.

Ashy: We chose a song that we feel fits us perfectly.

[The girls laugh, then move to center stage. The music begins, and Ashy starts off the song.]

[She laughs.]

[The audience bursts into applause as Helena takes her place in the center of the stage.]

[Helena hits her ending pose, then smiles out at the audience.]

[The audience cheers, and Helena exits the stage. Polly enters, carrying a stool and guitar. She sits the stool down on the center of the stage and gently sits the guitar next to it. Then she grabs the microphone that’s at the front of the stage and brings it over to the stool. After a while of adjusting, she finally picks up the guitar and sits down on the stool.]

Polly: Hi, everyone! Sorry that took so long, the microphone stand hates me.

[The audience chuckles at her joke,]

Polly: Today I will be playing “Counting Stars” by OneRepublic. Well, playing and singing, technically. I’ll be doing both. With me well, because this song hates me almost as much as that mic stand did…

[The crowd laughs again, and she waits for it to calm down before she begins to play.]

[Polly finishes her song and waves at the audience.]

Polly: I hope that was good! Thank you all!

[She stands up and puts the mic stand back, then grabs her stool and guitar and exits the stage. Leilani comes up next.]
Leilani: Two more performances! I’m the second to last, so hopefully you’re all still awake.

[The audience laughs.]

Leilani: I will be performing “One Way Or Another” by Blondie.

[She gives a thumbs up to the music people, then begins to sing.]

[The song ends, and Leilani blows a kiss to the audience.]

[She waves to the audience as she steps off the stage. The last performer for the evening steps onstage after her.]
Maya: Have you all had a wonderful night? I hope you all have, as this room is filled with remarkable talent!

[The audience bursts into loud roars and applause as Maya stands there and giggles.]

Maya: Hopefully my performance hasn’t been too blown out of the water by the performances that you all have already seen, but if so then I would completely understand. I just hope that you can still enjoy the performance as much as I have enjoyed performing it. As for the song I’ll be performing to, I chose to do “Let’s Get Loud” by Jennifer Lopez. Let’s do this!

[She cheers and moves to center stage, then breaks into a choreographed routine as she sings.]

[As the intro ends, Scarlet jumps onto the stage and joins Maya in her dancing.]

[Scarlet slides off the stage and Oralie and Emmie enter the same direction she had just exited. They step up next to Maya and dance with her.]

[Oralie and Emmie grab hands and skip offstage. Jia comes and replaces them.]

[Veronica jumps up next to Alyssa, and Maya takes her hand and helps her onto the stage. The two dance together for the next section of the song, while Alyssa remains sitting in her spot.]

[Sabrina, Mollie and Abby pose on one side of the stage as Helena, Polly and Leilani enter on the other side of the stage. The six girls dance around Maya as she continues singing.]

Along with Wendy's news, I think I'll also be changing up how Global Idol is done. I hate writing lives so I think from now on, this will just kinda be an experimentation of me trying to write albums for a music group. It will still be in survival show format, but I think it's also gonna be a bit different. So, uh, stick around and see what chaos I can create, I guess.
