"I... I wanted to find you."
He walked towards you, his movement eerily graceful, like a predator stalking prey. He trapped you against the cold wall of the hallway. "You’re mine, right? Forever?"​

You felt your soul shudder. You realized, with a surge of panic, that the front door was locked from the outside.
"Now," he whispered, leaning in closer, his lips near your ear, "go back to bed. I'll be there soon."
You did what he said. You had to. Because as you walked back to the bedroom, you could feel his eyes watching you, and the cold, lingering fear told you that you were never leaving him, alive or dead.​
