This thread was to ask non-humans any respectful questions you may have about nonhumans!

reality checking is very harmful to nonhumans, therian, otherkin, or anybody/thing that is not human
somebody can be non-human or any other term because of psycohsis, mental illness, autism, or simply because they just aren't human!

No, in fact, I'm otherkin. @SmolBeanAsh Since you made this, are you also nonhuman?

For example: I am fictionkin with Denki Kaminari. (sort of, I'll have to explain a bit more on that.) You know that feeling when you and someone else are so incredibly alike that you feel like twins? That's how I am with him. That's why I chose the name Denki. However, my fictionkin experience is a bit different, as I don't believe I am him, but I believe we're inter-connected and that our personalities are incredibly similar because we were... I don't even know how to describe it, really? Without sounding crazy to someone who doesn't kin?? This wasn't simply relating to him, as that would not be kin, but I felt like... He was my long-lost twin? And that we were seperated? I apologise if this makes no sense.

Yes! I am still questioning what I am but I know for a fact I am not human at all. I've been thinking about it a lot lately and I try not to stress too much over it lol

I've figured out that I'm elfkin (Like, LOTR elf, not Santa elf lolsies.). I've always had such a strong pull to them but now I realise why.

Well, we're exactly what it says: non-human! ((haha, all jokes aside.))
You may have heard of otherkin, which is a very large community of non-human folks. Basically it could mean that we believe we had a past life as one, and choose to identify that way, we choose it to cope with something going on in our lives, or some people do it just for fun. Non-humans believe that they are something else (like, for me, an elf) in a human body. This can be experienced a lot by phantom limbs (And this is not just an otherkin thing. It can happen to anyone: amputees, trans/enby folk, etc.), which is where you can feel a part of your non-human identity (for example, wings), but they're not really there. Do not believe people who tell you that they can shift into their non-human identity. It is not true, it is not possible, and those of us in the otherkin community frown upon that. Also, non-humans are normal people! Please, please ignore trolls who will say that they go out and pee on people to mark their territory like a wolf does. No, not true, that's false information. We are all very chill. I hope this answers your question a bit? This is just one of the sub-communities of non-human folk.

Ah, that makes complete sense! Thank you for clarifying! I most definitely won’t believe the trolls. I’ve heard about people who were wolves, and other animals, so that was my first thought when I would hear about non humans. I would also see how they would makes packs as well, and I would be a bit confused, because they’d basically act as if they actually were a wolf? I’m so sorry if that sounded rude, I hope I explained that right lol-

Yes, please do not believe the cringy trolls, good lord it brings back bad memories TT ..Yeah, in my personal experience, most wolfkin don't make packs. There's howls, which is where groups of otherkin (all kinds) can get together for an event, but wolfkin don't really make packs. Of course, this could just be personal preference.
