Forum Processing Speed

When I was first on the forums in 2020-2021 there was almost never any issues with the forums being super slow. I never found myself waiting for something to load to the point that I was agitated.
Now that I'm back on the forums in 2022 it seems like everything is soooo much slower. It takes a solid minute for my inbox to load, I spend hours trying to post content, etc.
And I know it's not me as I used the same devices and internet during both spells on here.I also have tried the forums on different networks and devices and no change.
Was some change applied to the forums during which I was gone. If so what it's purpose and is it truly necessary.
It' getting so frustrating to the point I don't feel like getting on here, and I have to set aside sections of my time to post something.
I probably sound like an entitled Karen in this point but I've reached my breaking point. I'm losing my sleep trying to post things swiftly at night.

Something I’ve noticed which idk if it’s related or not but the forums don’t seem to be listed as a secure site. Often there’s a warning sign next to the url rather than the padlock. Thought I would mention it

I'm not sure if it's that. When I was first here here were many more active users posting more threads. I think it has to do with signatures.

Interesting… I’ve always had a padlock so I’m not sure what this would mean. Could it be due to your settings or something?

And I recently got ads and I accidentally click them whenever I'm trying to do smth.
It's so frustrating but idk what it is.

I'm theorizing that it's because of the use of more than three pieces of media in signatures. We used to be limited to 3 cause it would slow down the forums with more. But now users can pretty much put as many as they want.

Yeah, the ads started popping up at the bottom of my screen. Sometimes, it would glitch and I would be stuck with that add until I restarted my computer.

I agree. Though I still cannot post more than 3 images I've noticed that authors and mod are able to. Recently I also noticed a lot of people have been becoming authors so I think a lot of ppl have been able to post more than 3 images in their sig.
