Also. People change over the years, and for better and some for worse. I’m not saying she did or didn’t do it, but if she did, she could have grown from her past and has now changed into how people see her today. But as Tara said, we don’t know what idols are like behind closed doors.

Hello, this is Soojin. I'm writing after thinking about this a lot. When I was a student, I always stood out and it's true that bad rumors always followed me around. I did dress unfitting for a student and it's true that I tried out cigarettes a few times as well.
I had my problems when I was young, but I haven't smoked since then. I believe that even though I tried to fix myself, there are things that I did that are embarassing and that I should be sorry for, and that's why this happened.

I learned why she wanted to put a distance between us through that post. I remember that we fought because she broke our promise. It wasn't just once or twice and I remember being angry. I didn't know she was trying to put distance between us. So I'm embarassed, but I remember cursing her out as well. And her sister picked up the phone and scolded me. I apologized to her and hung up on her. After that, we became completely apart and had bad feelings toward each other.
But I want to clarify a few things.
First, I never used violence on her. Second, I never rode on a motorcycle. Third, I never sent a group text to bully someone. Fourth, I never stole anything, including her school uniform. Fifth, I never even talked to Seo Sin Ae. I'm sorry because I feel like this also hurt her.
I really don't remember anything about the juice incident. But I believe that I wouldn't do something like that.
I'm sorry that my personal life became a source of a problem, and I apologize to everyone who was hurt by my embarassing actions.

I agree. Like she said, she does admit to wearing provocative clothing and smoking a few times but has quit, which is good for her. It also seems like the whole incident was a misunderstanding between Soojin and the one sister, and that all the other things that were said, were said because the older sister was jealous of Soojin’s success as an idol.

agreed seems more like a misunderstanding more than any bullying.

i would also like to point out the difference on whats happening here and other platforms. people are trying to misrepresent her words to make it seem like shes a big bad monster. they´re trying to act like they have a career in detective work and are trying to dissect every little thing shes saying. its gross

The way she sounds, the richness and fullness of her voice, she could never have smoked in her life. Even all those years ago it still would have damaged her vocal cords immensely. Also, drinking would have severely stunted her as well, so there is only a slim possibility that that is true as well. Based on her health, I conclude that the information is false.


Edit: It appears that Soojin has released her own statement. She has smoked, but, like I said, she only did it a few times (I said it was improbable that she smoked a lot)--- So, little damage. Props to her on coming out with it. I know of several idols that are in different scandals currently that are, dare I say, worse, that have not released statements, so I am quite proud.

The fact that Soojin didn't try to refuse everything and issue a typical apology means something to me. And yes people change through years, not everyone is the same who they were in high school and it's natural to not actually remember everything when many years have passed...

That's true cigarettes usually don't affect your vocal chords if you've been an occasional smoker (speaking from experience)
