Twice; most of their stuff isn't the sort of thing I'd have expected to be drawn to, so it kinda surprised me that they hooked me so hard after just a few listens. I don't listen to them as much now since I found Dreamcatcher and Mamamoo, who cover everything I like about Twice while also being more in my musical wheelhouse. But it was Twice who grabbed my attention and first pulled me into K-pop, so I actually kinda owe them a real debt of thanks.

for me it was Stray Kids and Ateez ! I never expected to like Stray Kids but I fell in as soon as I heard Hellevator!
For Ateez I listened to their title tracks casually but then I listened to Hala Hala and that changed and before I knew it I knew all their names

Twice, cause I didn't like most of their songs. But I really love their personalities, every single member is so likeable and there aren't a lot of groups where I can find that. Although most of their songs are not as impressive as other groups' imo, they always cheer me up so eventually I've grown to like them and like listening to them.

ā1 Black6ix: I remember before they debut in all Facebook groups in my country was talking for them but when they debut with Please don't go I didn't like it because i'm not that much into sad/slow songs but on 11 May 2019 they had a concert in my country and it was so good and my most favorite part-the ticket I bought included hug with every member and individual photo Now I'm totally in love with them and they are on my phone wallpaper and lock screen for more than half a year >^.^< <3
ā2 ONF: I watched the last few episodes of Mixnine (I didn't watch it from beginning because in this time I was busy watching The Unit) because of groups I already loved (A.C.E; KNK...) I start looking forward a lot of boys. First of ONF was Hyojin because of Trinity then I fell for all the members. Before Mixnine I listened On/off when it go out but it was too cute for me and I forgot about ONF but with the show I saw their real charms and how talented they are which I couldn't see in On/Off. Now they are one of my most favorite groups (like Stray Kids ; Black6ix ; ToppDogg..) and now I love all their song and happily they changed a little bit their concept since On/off so they show their real potential now. Also funniest part.. after the show I was so in love with them that now they are the only group with "positions" for me: I have husband; brother; 3 lovers and 2 sons (Minseokie will always be my son! ) (No i'm not that cringey it just for fun i'm not serious when I call them husband, lover, brother...)
I have other unexpected groups too but those 2 are with the most interesting stories >^.^< <3
