I personally like hand microphones that have different colours. But I think it depends on the choreography. If the choreography is tough and difficult I think it's good to use in-ear mics, and if it doesn't, hand mics are suitable
If thereโs a choreography to a song that they perform, then I would mostly prefer in-ear mics because it makes the performances look a bit more professional imo than having at least one member or some of them using a hand mic whilst theyโre trying to dance and everyone else is dancing. But if thereโs no choreography to a song that they will perform, then I donโt mind them using either microphones
For some reason I feel like idols are more likely to sing live with a hand held mic, so I prefer that.
But if it's unrealistic because of the choreo or something then the in-ear mics are okay too.
i usually prefer in-ear mics with the exception of concerts and vocal or rap heavy performances. hand held mics help vocalists and rappers relay their emotions better bc of how they hold it, you know?
Depends on the group. Mostly 3rd and 2nd gen groups donโt have much choreography going on, so I feel like seeing them stand there with a mic is really nice coz I think it completes the performance. And thatโs just the same with any performance thatโs completely vocal or rap based. But 4th gen are known for wacky choreographies. So like, with a group such as ITZY, hand held mics for most of their performances would just ruin their performance, as theyโd have to focus on the mic instead of the choreo. So in cases like those, in ear is much better
I like how the microphones have different colours! But also they can move it around freely so their voice is loud enough to be heard. Its suitable for an easy, simple cheoro.
Ear-Microphones, eh no opinion, more hand movements and yeah but I think its good when the cheoro is TOUGH as FUCK.
Personally, I prefer in-ear mics more just because it makes it easier for kpop idols to do the choreography of their songs while singing.
If they are just singing a bside or a song that doesn't require them to dance, then the hand mics are preferable.
i like the creativity u can have w hand held mics so i would prob go w that
also groups that are used to hand held (basically started w them) i prefer hand held 100% like mamamoo
i prefer in-ear mics just because they look much more professional and it also would be so much easier to do choreo without a mic in your hand. i also imagine that the mic would get really sweaty and gross throughout the performance if using a hand held mic.
