How are online vocal groups formed?

So I’m gonna sound really dumb for this but legit, like the ones on this platform even, how are they formed? Like do the people know each other or do they like chat here? And in that case anybody wanna make a group

im not sure but sometimes ppl will create fake companies (obv dont exist and are there just for ppl to have the thrill and fun of it) which allow ppl to audition and do vocal groups, and i believe other times they will ask others on rlly any platform and go through the same process, jst without a fake ent, i hope this helps (maybe?) ^^
