I see lot's of people try and defend the fact that kpop isn't built off of black culture and these fans typically try and gaslight black fans when we bring this topic up. It needs to be discussed more because even JYP has said that it is. Yes, Kpop is a unique genre and YES they do have different styles, but it is HEAVILY drawn from black culture. And even so, every time there's a comeback that seems "hip hop", companies feel the need to culturally appropriate the black culture maybe thinking that it would make it seem more stylish, but they definitely know what they're doing and they just choose to ACT delusional about it...
