bit of an interesting background for this, i know nothing of mahjong but i heard about this a while ago basically this girl Okada Sayaka is a professional mahjong player that has been playing in the professional Japanese league for close to a decade as part of the KADOKAWA Sakura Knights, apparently she is good and her team has even won tournaments
anyway recently people started noticing her due to how out of place she looked during those competitions, seems mahjong is considered an old man sport so people couldn't help but point how she looked like an idol instead... which of course this being Japan resulted in being approached by Warner executives who asked her if she wanted to be an idol and she said yes
