People disregard me as a sound engineer because I don't know every single fancy term, like boy, I have a better career so far than you, and you've been doing this for decades. I've been unintentionally doing this ever since I randomly gained sentience at 5, don't play with me. I'm not a novice.

I'm not good with words, so when I say "I'm turning down the resonance to remove the stupid frequency thingies", don't question me. I'm not a clanker, if you want me to say, "I'm turning down the resonance to clean up harsh frequency spikes, which creates a more polished mix, prevents listening fatigue, and allows space for other instruments", you're NOT getting that from me.

The same applies when I used to teach kids music full-time for two years. Just because I'm a little awkward and like to explain music theory in a general sense doesn't mean I don't know what I'm talking about. I mean, I'm getting paid to do these things, you're not.

Ugh its almost like that with me, only they get headaches too, it just only matters when they have it. My family likes to act like its such a freaking taboo to be in pain, I can't complain about a headache with hearing some form of "deal with it"
