so the main characte was charlie gordon a 30 y/o who had a low IQ and went to a "slow adults school" and was constantly judged and the butt of all the jokes and two doctors did a lab on algernon, the mouse, who was also kinda dumb i think then did the same to charlie but the algernon-gordon effect was that like as the more intelligent something got, the faster it would decline so charlie got dumb again or smth like that
