I see where you're coming from. I think it's just the culture in South Korea that makes this so much worse. Bullying is perceived as 10x as worse in Korea compared to Western countries. That's why everything just explodes when a rumor pops up.
I think she should be given some lenience considering her age at the time, but again we don't know what she did. She could have just teased someone or she could have nearly beaten someone to death in anger.
I also think that picture where they directly referenced IVE shows that this is a lot more recent then we think it is. But again, we don't actually know if that's her, or the circumstances around it.
Everything is just so confusing and I just wish things would be be clear or told truthfully.

true, drastically different cultures are bound to see things in rly different ways. and i agree that it does kinda depend on what she did, no matter her age. if she, like you said beat someone nearly to death, that's not the kind of thing that ages away; but picking on someone or even being a little cruel is the kind of thing that she can be given some leniency on bc of her age at the time. it'd be so much easier to just know the whole truth wo any bias or anything

My issue with this statement is that although it is very detailed, they present no physical evidence.
This could all be concocted by Source and Garam so that it blows over.
But I'm glad she is only personally being put on hiatus. It's not fair to the rest of the girls who did nothing.

I was reading something about this. A lot of people agreed that given that she's a rookie who just debuted, Source and HYBE are going awfully far to protect her. It's weird, and there are rumors that she's the daughter of someone important.

I'm staying neutral cause there are instances when both HYBE and garam look suspicious but there's also instances alleged victim is also being really suspicious. I agree with most ppl on this thread this REALLY confusing case at this point there needs to be an investigation or smth because this scandal has gotten so big.

I also want to say, age isn't really an excuse. As a 15 year old, I wouldn't bully someone. There are plenty of mature teenagers who wouldn't bully others. It's not really an age thing.

If it's true, why did the victim come out with so much faulty evidence that was easily proven wrong? Why are all the witnesses so hateful and seem more keen on ending Garam's career rather than getting justice? Why is HYBE putting everyone on hiatus? If it's all true, why is HYBE suing the victim?? That's another level of messed up.

I thought the victim was just seeking an apology? From what I heard, she didn't want to interfere with anything, she just wanted Garam to apologise.

i mean, truthfully, she might be a nepotism baby. it's probably a lot more common than we realize, and it would explain some of the lengths hybe has gone to protect her, esp if she is guilty.

Harsh statement but it screams that she's guilty for me.
Literally the only one defending her is HYBE/Source and they must have a reason for it. Probably nepotism.
And she's accused for serious stuff like bullying people with disabilities so it doesn't matter that it happened years ago, first it's not that old and second she should know better. She was put on a hiatus but even if she comes back this will not go away. LE SSERAFIM's image won't be easily saved unless Garam leaves the group. That's how I at least see it..maybe time will prove me wrong, maybe not.

Hybe really needs to get off it's pedestal and realize that they do not have enough power to make this go away.
At first I thought this would be similar to Karina's rumors predebut. Garam was the 2nd member released and they couldn't go after Sakura who was the first cause she was already an established idol and rumors wouldn't make any sense. I thought they just picked her because she was released next.
Things are not looking good, at all.

At this point, I think I believe the victim more than Garam. Garam got a Level 5 Penalty in middle school. Now, that is a big deal. It goes from 1-9, but 5 is the highest penalty you can receive in middle school. Apparently, it's rare to meet someone with a Level 5 even in high school. Some boys got a Level 5 after an SA incident, the boy who was SAed subsequently... I won't specify, but you know. Her mother agreed to the penalty because she thought it would help get Garam back on the right path. The incident isn't mentioned in detail, so it's unknown what really happened, but... It's pretty serious stuff.

I honestly think there are too many rumours and accusations to make a decision currently, I'm waiting for some proof to come out from either side till I make a decision. I'm however glad that she is on hiatus, the girls deserve that at least as they did nothing wrong. I hope this situation will be resolved soon for the sake of the girls, the victim and Garam herself.

tbh i also believe in the victim more like the SCHOOL COMMITTEE got involved and basically confirmed she was an assailant student which basically confirms she did physically attack others
i think she's prob from a rich family who is like an investor or share holder of hybe and hybe's stocks have been going down so the last thing they need is an investor to back out and it will only decrease even more
