First heard about it in May 2016 when I saw my friends iPad background was Exo got7 and bts and I thought it was weird
Then in October 2016 I listened to blood sweat and tears when it came out and I thought it was weird
In January 2017 my friend made me listen to gee and I really loved it so I listened to more snsd and found bts and only liked bts for a long while until 2018 I I got into way more groups
I first heard Gangnam Style (obviously), but I didn't know it was kpop.
Then I've been watching songs for characters of some game and "I am the best" by 2NE1 was there and I've immediately fallen in love with that song. I then listened to their whole discography just to find out that they'd disbanded
I started searching more about kpop and I'm here now
My bestie was talking about kpop every time. If she talked for 10 mins, 8 mins were for kpop. When BTS Dope was released in 2015, she told me watch it. After watching dope,, it became a huge turning point in my life...
Now I know kpop more than my bestie!!!lol!!
umm back in 2018 i ws diagnosed with bipolar depression and so i was suicidal thats when my friend introduce me to bts then i got into nct,exo, shinee ect. Kpop has always been there for me in good times for most of my worst times. when i was sad i could listen to then, or when my gf cheated on me or when i lost my bst friend kpop was there for me. So Yeah!
Well.. my friend made me listen to Mic Drop and I like the music and when I went deep into it and that’d when I knew that kpop is not just music.. it’s a lifestyle and this really stuck by me and honestly, I can see the changes and those changes makes me better than before..
It all started in October 2018 until then, I only listened to Bts. But one day I decided that I had to start listening to other bands and once I started playing eco and I really liked them and so I started to play other and other kpop groups. And is the story how I get into the kpop
My first experience was Gangnam Style, and I hated that song lol
Then when I started high school I was in the marching band (colorguard) and one of the more popular girls in the colorguard was really into kpop so that just kinda deterred me from finding out more because she was kinda mean. I just stuck to anime, vocaloid, and nightcore lol
Then two years ago a good friend of mine was like yo I just got dragged down the kpop hole and I'm taking you down with me, she sent me a playlist of 50 BTS songs that I listened to and the rest is history
