Have you ever been attacked by a fandom? Do you recall the experience?

to all people who have been attacked by ARMY,

im so sorry, the fandom can really get chaotic and rude sometimes, im an ARMY (dont worry i dont bite) and ive had countless arguments with my non - multistan friends (im trying to get them to see more of kpop besides bts) on how bts really ISNT the best and how all kpop groups are very talented.

btw is it just ARMY that has a toxic fandom or is it just other fandom's toxic fans overshadowed. If you think about it, bts ARMY is a giant fandom, and the ration of good fans to toxic fans should be approx the same in each fandom? Plz dont attack me but in my opinion, the only reason why there is all the hate from toxic armys is because we really are just a giant fandom. maybe its because the toxic armys stand out more and are more vocal or their toxic opinions. anyways all i wanted to say is that not all armys are toxic, there really is a ratio and its probably the same in every fandom. i mean blinks are another big fandom, and look at all the toxic fans.

I totally get this. There are equally toxic EXO-L and NCTizens as well. Its just for some reason, ARMYs seems to stand out more when they get toxic. However, I am aware that not all ARMYs are bad. One of my friends at school is a loyal ARMY (has been since BTS pretty much debuted) and she's also a multi-group stan as well. She's literally the nicest person I have ever met (to those who are nice to her of course, she's no pushover) but even she is sometimes ashamed of ARMYs. I just hope that one day, we can all learn to get along and equally support groups (even those that we don't stan) because no idol group deserves a toxic fandom.

Once, on a Blackpink hate video I said something along the lines of -It’s ok for people to hate and bully Blackpink, but its a crime to say you dislike a BTS member or song - And I got AtTaCkEd by 10 year old armys, saying I’m a bi*ch, should go die, and others even bashed Blackpink while trying to defend BTS. Armys have this weird instinct to attack people who don’t even hate on BTS, they just mention them. Really sad how the fandom grew so much that the nice, genuine fans got overshadowed by these little monsters.

The multistan ARMYs usually aren't as toxic as the OT7 or OT1 ARMYs. Every fandom has toxic fans, but as someone said up there, ARMYs tend to stand out more when it comes to toxicity. I met some nice ARMYs when i was in the fandom myself, but i met more toxic/rude/childish ones overall. Hopefully every fandom can get along one day

Yup! i really wish i could stop fanwars. After i started stanning more that BTS, it really opened my view on all kpop groups. to me, becoming a multistan was probably the solution and what ended me fighting my multistan friends on who's better. I hope all fandoms can also try to acknowledge the nice side of fandoms more, even though i know evil deeds attract more attention than good ones. i try to focus on the good things my fandom has done, like donations

I also had the an unpleasant memory with toxic ARMYs (there are good ARMYs, but some are not. I’m sorry if I sounded rude, I’m just sharing my experience) .Some of my friends at scl who are ARMYs (they’re not my friends anymore) said that Bighit is going to acquire pledis bcuz Seventeen, NU’EST and the other artists of Pledis have no talent, and Bighit is going to improve them. We all know that talent is not something that can’t be compared. Also, I faced the same struggle as @Lost_in_the-Dream when I was telling them that Seventeen deserved the “Best Dance Male Group” award at MAMA 2019. Hit and fear are totally hard choreographies when compared to Boy with Luv. Then their reply was “BTS is the best and no artist can take their place”. Then are every other grp some trash? Every kpop group is working hard as BTS to make new music. I was so disappointed and now I don’t talk to them.
Still, they haven’t stopped insulting other kpop grps. Hope they'll (those past friends of mine) learn a lesson someday
So, that was the unpleasant memory I had.
Now, I have a good team of friends who always show their respect and love towards kpop groups.

i dont think i was an ARMY when there werent toxic fans, i only joined about a year ago
i think ive just come to accept that its just not going to go away, no matter how much i try to solve it, it breaks my heart seeing toxic ARMYs criticizing another group i love

yea....we were sweet and nice and caring before all of this happened..now it gotten bad to the point where there making death threat or threats in general if ppl dont like bts or smt

The post wasn't even about his dreads it was about like how he was an amazing person but the person just used that picture and when I went in my group chat someone brought up my retweet and started to hate on me saying that I am fake for support Chan and his dreads and they all started to call me dumb and a fake stay that I didn't deserve to call myself a stay (which made no sense) and I was really mad that people were that quick to turn on me for no reason.

Personally i liked Chan's dreads but wow, that was so uncalled for and i hope you're not friends with them anymore
