Welcome to Miel's Album Reviews On TikTok I often see creators reviewing albums, both new and old, in terms of which songs are their favourites, which ones they don't like etc. This has inspired me to make my own review thread where I'll do this too.
In this thread, I will either be reviewing new releases that I've listened to, or older albums. Though some albums I will simply review because I want to, if there is a specific album you would like me to review please leave it below and I will review it when I have the time. Be aware that my familiarity with the album may affect the time it takes for me to review it. Furthermore, once a month has passed since my previous review, I will also accept 're-review' requests, where any possible changes in opinions and ranking can be shown. Albums must have at least 2 songs to be reviewed. I'll only be reviewing Kpop albums or Japanese releases by Kpop artists. Feel free to write your own reviews or opinions!
Please be aware: - Everything in the thread is down to my personal preferences. Nothing is objective, all is down to me. I don't care if you think I have 'bad taste'. Taste doesn't exist x - I don't intend to hate on any artists involved in the albums. Though song quality and instrumental will be considered factors in the ranking, I respect the singers, composers and producers of every song I review
How will the review look? The album name and artist will be listed, alongside their overall score out of 10 The artist will be given a bias number out of 5. A 1 means I usually dislike the artist's music and therefore did not expect to like any songs going in, whereas a 5 means I usually love their music. A 3 means indifference. This is to reflect where my opinions may be influenced by biases or preconceived ideas All the songs will be listed in order of favourite to least favourite. They will also be colour coded by: Incredible, Love, Pretty Good, Neutral, Missing Something, Skip and Yikes... (Songs released over 6 months ago could also be 'All Time Fave') I will then provide a short opinion about the song and why it's the tier that it is

SONG RANKINGS 1. LOVE ME LIKE THIS (TITLE) 'Love Me Like This' is the first NMIXX title track that doesn't have an NMIXX Change Up, which was a little bit disappointing as its what they are known for. Despite that though, this song is really catchy and has been stuck in my head since I first heard it.
2. PAXXWORD This song is funky and fun though I did have to listen to it a second time in order to remember how it went.
3. Young Dumb Stupid This song is too catchy which is its biggest pro. However, one thing I'm a little unsure how I feel about is the fact it samples Frere Jaques. On one hand it's cute and adds to the fun and catchiness but on the other hand it's giving cheep TikTok nursery rhyme song. We don't need another ABCDEFU.
4. My Gosh I remember it being gentle and nice, so not dislikable. But I've already forgotten how it goes even after just listening to it.
5. HOME Again, I remember it being quite chaotic and fun, a little messy at times, but I don't actually remember how it goes after having just listened.
6. JUST DID IT This is the only track I didn't like. The first verse, if you can call it that, was just ??? and I didn't like the chorus drop. Catchy and memorable but not a vibe, sorry NMIXX!
1. 3RACHA (Bang Chan, Changbin, Han) Before today this was the only Maxident song I had added, it's just such a bop it's one of my favourite SKZ bsides, and it's so close to being a love
2. TASTE (Lee Know, Hyunjin, Felix) A new addition to my playlist thanks to this review. It's a lot better than I remember. I like how it's kind of dark and mysterious
3. CHILL It was fine, I debated adding it to a playlist but I feel like it's not a song I would really care about if it came on shuffle so
4. Give Me Your TMI Similar to Chill, I debated adding it to a playlist, but it's just not something I think I'd listen to on shuffle
5. CIRCUS (Korean Ver) The song is pretty good, I'm not really a fan of the chorus. Just like the other songs, it's not something I'd want to listen to on shuffle
6. Case 143 (TITLE) I sound like a broken record at this point. The song is fine, it's actually pretty catchy, but I'm not interested in listening to it on shuffle
7. Super Board You know the drill. The 'nyoom's were a little cheesy and made me smile. Overall, not something I'd want to listen to
8. Can't Stop (Seungmin, I.N) I'm not really a big fan of band like songs so this is a skip for me

1. Red Flavor (TITLE) Literally such a bop and a song that defines Kpop summer. The vocals are amazing and it's catchy. One of my favourite Red Velvet title tracks too
2. You Better Know I have such a love-hate relationship with this song coz on one hand I love singing along to it but on the other hand when I see it in my shuffle queue I never want to listen to it... I added it to my 'makes me want to sing' playlist though because it does

Note: not including instrumentals 1. LOCO (TITLE) Was literally my favourite song at one point. I love how fun and catchy it is, especially Lia's 'so dangerous' part, but also Yuna's 'I feel like I was born to love ya' which was where I got my old twt username @borntoloveyuna from lol
2. Chillin' Chillin' Has my favourite ITZY bridge ngl, it's literally heavenly. It's such a happy song and reminds me of sweets and stuff lol
3. Gas Me Up It's just so addictive even though it needed to grow on me first
4. Sooo LUCKY Another song that just makes me so happy, and a song I love to sing along to
5. B[OO]M-BOXX Used to be higher but it's still a bop. It's just so fun and I like to dance to it
6. LOVE Is Another happy song but a bit more gentle. Makes me wish I was in love fr. Must say though, looking through my photobook and just stumbling across "keep on struggling" was a vibe
7. Mirror Such a beautiful song I love to listen to it before I sleep
8. #Twenty Addictive and fun to dance along to. Miss Yuna delivered the rap of the century ofc ofc. Anyways guess what my plans are for November 1st 2024 (ew that's so soon)
9. Swipe You know it's a good album when the worst song is still amazing. Literally so addicting and the dance is great, but the little robot squeaky thing in the chorus ruins it. That's its only problem
This is an album I’m unfamiliar with, and it’s also 11pm for me, so it’ll be a while before I can get this review out hopefully some time tomorrow night
1. BIBI Vengeance (TITLE) This was the only song I knew going into the album, and I really like it. It's so catchy even though it's dark and it makes me feel so badass listening to it
2. Animal Farm I like how mysterious and evil it sounds. I recently got into Melanie Martinez and idk I feel like it kinda reminds me of her music in a way??
3. Wet Nightmare I like how dark and evil it sounds. It's kinda slow and feels like a nightmare which is fitting for the title
4. Loveholic's Hangover Originally it was lower but I listened to it for a second time and I like it more the second time so yeah. Idk if it'll stay on my playlist but I'm willing to give it a chance. I love the instrumental in particular
5. MotoSpeed 24 Similar to Loveholic's Hangover I've put it on a playlist but I don't know if it'll survive
6. Witch Hunt I almost like it but yeah it just fits the tier name so well. There's just not enough for me to really like it
7. JOTTO Basically the exact same story as Witch Hunt
8. Blade There's just something about it that I don't like but I'm not really sure. Not a fan of the chorus either
9. Lowlife Princess It's not really my type of music
10. Sweet Sorrow of Mother There's something about it that I just don't really like. I find it quite bland
11. City Love Not a fan of most rock music to be honest

1. Antifragile (TITLE) I hated it on release but this song is the definition of an earworm and now I don't think I can go a day without thinking antitititi and doing the ass shake move
2. No Celestial I know in the review above I said I don't like rock music but there are exceptions to the rule and THIS IS ONE OF THEM. I like to live by the "I'm no fucking angel I'm no fucking goddess" line, and I hate that Spotify says "freaking" instead don't censor the girls goddamnit. I have to do the line for them fr. But then when I listen to the non-censored ver it makes me jump LMAO
3. Good Parts (when the quality is bad but I am) Literally love listening to this song when I'm winding down for the night it's so gentle but sweet
4. Impurities Idk there's something about it that I just don't like and I find it quite boring. It's weird because this sort of concept I usually eat up so yeah dunno why I don't like this one
Bonus: I know The Hydra isn't a full length song but I still love it lmao. Makes me wish it was a full length song coz I'm not joking I'd eat it up
